I think there’s a difference between designing something beautiful and making a great product. Both matter. They just aren’t the same thing.

Design craft is the details: typography, composition, spacing, interactions and all the little decisions that make something feel considered.

Making a product goes further. What problem are we solving, and for whom? What should we build, and how should it behave? Is it actually making someone’s life easier?

I still love spending time in Figma, exploring different directions and refining the details. But a working prototype often shows me things that are hard to spot on a design canvas, so I enjoy getting into code and seeing how something actually feels to use.

That’s the part I find most interesting: where craft and product meet.

A great product needs more than a beautiful interface. I just don’t think that’s a reason to stop caring about making things beautiful.
